Climate innovation isn’t confined to a handful of postcodes. That’s why Clean Growth Fund takes its roadshows right across the UK – and on the 7 October 2026 the fund was back in Wales.

Hot off the back of their co-investment in Cardiff-based Reclinker, Clean Growth Fund partnered with the Development Bank of Wales for the event – a prominent investor in the country, having invested over £1 billion in more than 5,000 Welsh businesses.
The Clean Growth Fund and Development Bank of Wales investment teams were incredibly busy throughout the day, getting the chance to hear 12 pitches from Welsh founders building real answers to climate challenges.

During the evening, the doors opened for a two hour networking reception – an excellent opportunity to make new connections, catch up with old faces, and learn about the latest innovations coming out of the region. The night was well attended, bringing academics, accelerators, investors, local authorities and start-ups into one room.

During the reception, Reclinker CEO Bill Yost gave a talk on the company’s new investment and his excitement about bringing its cement recycling technology, and new jobs, to South Wales.
Clean Growth Fund is grateful to all those that pitched and attended, and the team really look forward to returning to Wales soon.
