HutanBio are developing the HBx Bioenergy Platform to produce HBx Bio Oil – a carbon-negative biocrude feedstock to support the decarbonisation of long-distance transportation. Operating on seawater in enclosed photobioreactors on non-arable desert land, using CO₂ and sunlight to cultivate Sphaerica to produce a sustainable biocrude feedstock compatible with existing refinery and supply chain infrastructure, for marine, aviation, and heavy land transport.
